Lauren’s love for fitness stems from growing up in a big, athletic, sport enthused family. Between hockey & gymnastics as a kid, then soccer & track in high school - she kept busy & active. After more than a few injuries & a couple surgeries, Lauren channeled that love of sports into her studies. She got her BS in Athletic Training & MEd in Counseling Sports Psychology & has been working in sports medicine for the last 7 years. Lauren is now pursuing another bachelors degree in nursing as her love of learning never ceases. She’s always prioritized her own health & wellness! Lauren does weight lifting & spin to stay grounded, relieve stress & to see how strong & capable she is. Lauren was instantly hooked on spin after she first discovered it in 2018— she then began instructing 3 months later! Movement & exercise have always been her lifeline for as long as she can remember. She’s so excited to continue alongside this incredible OUTpack of bada** women!
Q: Where can we find you outside of spinOUT?
“Outside of spinOUT, catch me if you can - I’m either in a coffee shop studying for nursing school, doing anything outside with my dog, lifting at the gym, behind the bar at Brewery Becker, reading on the couch under a pile of blankets, coaching at F45, on a boat with a drink in hand, or doing just about anything to spend quality time with family and friends — I’m a wild card & always up for a good time!”
Q: Guilty pleasure?
“Guilty pleasures include (but are not limited to ) tequila shots, frosted donuts, sour gummy bears, rewatching Miracle / Just Friends / When Harry Met Sally / How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days or New Girl for the millionth time along with singing & dancing my a** off to 2000’s rap”
Q: What can we expect on your class playlist?
“Loud & heavy beat drops! In my class I use music to drive the movement - rap, remixes, & mashups all combined to make you push yourself beyond your comfort zone from start to finish. My music can be tastefully explicit & I tend to swear on the mic when I'm really trying to push you!”
