Welcome to the OUTpack!

You are taking the first step to self emPOWERMENT.

  • HOW TO BOOK?

⚡ We use MindBody to book all classes; make sure to sign the waiver and save a credit card on file.

⚡ We recommend pre-booking all of your classes at least 24 hours in advance.

⚡ If the class is outside and there’s inclement weather coming, you will receive a text message as soon as possible notifying you that the class location has changed or the class is canceled. If canceled, your account will be credited on the MB site.

⚡ We do not accept cash at The HUB. All purchases will be made through the MB account so please make sure you have a credit card on file.

⚡ Class cancelation policies are complete reimbursement up to 3 hours prior to class. Should you late cancel or no show to your reserved class, you will lose the class on your package, or be subject to late cancelation penalties.

  • WHAT TO WEAR?

⚡ Long-sleeve top- We recommend you wear a long sleeve top before and/or after class. Warm up and then slide it off and set it in your complimentary spinOUT storage bin.

⚡ Lightweight, fitted top – We recommend something breathable but not too loose; it may catch on the saddle.

⚡ Leggings – We recommend full length or capri length leggings, shorts that go right above the knee are suitable too. If you choose to wear shorter shorts, the saddle could rub your skin.

⚡ Tennis shoes – We recommend tennis shoes with a stiff sole. All of our bike pedals are equipped with foot cages to easily slide your shoe in and out as needed.

⚡ Ask about renting spin shoes for a future class at The HUB!

    ⚡ Hat and/or Sunglasses optional.

  • WHAT TO EXPECT?

⚡ PRIOR TO: Before the day of your class, check out our “First Timers Crash Course”

⚡ DAY OF: Please make sure that you have a water bottle, smart watch for more accurate metrics on the monitor (you can sync your watch with ONE TAP!) and your phone to snap a pic at the Selfie Wall pre or post class.

⚡ THE CLASS: Expect a 50-60 minute class, your instructor will outline the class with the “Road Map” you will be following. I.e. How many hills and how many flats?

⚡ The class will start with a quick warm-up followed by songs varying in resistance level and rpm. Your instructor will use the terms “Light,” “Medium,” “Heavy,” and “Very Heavy” to describe the effort you’re currently working in. There will be at least one song that will incorporate hand weights. And there will be a short cool down at the end.

  • WHEN TO ARRIVE?

⚡ ARRIVE: 15 minutes early to check in at The HUB and inform them of any injuries and/or limitations.

⚡ SET-UP: A spinOUT leader will be happy to get you properly fitted on your bike once you check-in. General rules: while pedaling there should be a slight bend in the knees and no swaying in the hips. There’s also bike setup Information in the First Timers Crash Course.

⚡ Grab a set of 3 or 5 pound weights and set them on your weight racks. Also put your water bottle and phone in the cupholders and start spinning to warm up the legs prior to class. Our leaders can help you with all of this – just ask!

⚡ Forgot your water? No problem! We sell them at The HUB!

⚡ Try to match the road with the resistance. Ex: If the instructor says to get on a heavy hill, your resistance should increase and speed should slow.

⚡ Try to match the rpm speed that the instructor provides with the greatest amount of resistance you can manage (light, medium, heavy, or very heavy.)

⚡ Commit to the full power hour mentally and physically. No matter how hard the class feels or how sore you may become, stick with it! Even if you lighten the resistance and ride at a recovery pace, keep your mind and body focused on achieving a complete class.

⚡ Book and attend approximately 4 classes to adjust to the saddle. These are new bikes so whether you ride frequently on your stationary bike at home or workout daily in other modalities, there is an adjustment period for those particular muscles.
